mixed message on installation

I am trying to install Kalyway 10.5.2 on my AMD PC, and eventually patch boot 132 with the following guide to install retail Leopard:

According to this post, someone got my exact PC model to boot Kalyway 10.5.2 and install and boot it successfully:

Yet, when I try to boot Kalyway (by pressing F8 and typing "-v modbinkernal"), I get the screen attached, and then it reboots. After searching for hours, I found sad, yet perplexing, news in this post:

Does anyone know how to fix the issue? If it is impossible to fix, how can someone with my exact laptop model be running OS X? Please help ASAP!

 

P.S. I tried to boot from an external dvd drive via USB.

 

Update: I just learned that I needed to shut down a core because I have a dual core CPU, and I didn't know I had to do that. I'm not sure if that was what caused the reboot, but I will try it later. So, I type: -v cpus=1 modbinkernal ? I'm not even sure if that caused the reboot...probably not! Please help!

 

Another Update: I just tried typing "-v cpus=1 modbinkernal" at the boot prompt, and I got to the same point where it rebooted before and did it just like before. Can someone help me? Do you think that safe mode by typing "-x" also? Please help ASAP!
