Help with my Computer name

ok. ive got a bit stuck here. i want to change my computer name in osx leopard

i go to network in preferences and then i type in the name i want and hit enter. but it still says in the file sharing and ssh, and all the others that it is called NickOSX.lan

I thinking the field that i type the computer name into (Rendezvous) doesn't change the computers lan name.

please, i really need a solution to this becuase i use web services and it need it to be called rendezvous.lan not NICKOSX.lan
