Wink-Wink
Hi everyone, I just set up my first hackintosh, thanks to lurking on this forum! It's (nearly) perfect. BUT: When I sleep my hac, it works. The FIRST time only. It sleeps almost instantly, fans, drive, and display shut off, and the power light blinks. Then I awaken it. Then, the next time I try to put it to sleep, nothing happens for about 30 sec, then the display shuts off, but everything else keeps going. At that point I have to hold the power button and restart it. After I reboot, it's good for one more sleep. I hear a lot of complaints about sleep not working on hackintoshes, but I haven't come across any posts about it only working once. Does anyone have any ideas? (probably) related: - the speedstep kext causes a panic whenever I load it - the power button is not recognized, nor is the lid - I tried loading VoodooPower.kext, but it caused a kernel panic - I tried -CPUs=1 at the Chameleon prompt, it had no effect Computer: HP Pavilion ZD7000 laptop (P4, nVidia GeForce Go FX5700) OS: Started with iATKOS 5i, then upgraded to iATKOS 7, then updated to 10.5.8. The problem, however, has been there since the fresh 10.5.5 install. Several of my drivers (namely video) are still 10.5.5 versions. Thanks in advance...... Wink-Wink
bump... Nobody has seen anything like this? Can anyone give me some pointers on how to start debugging this? I see nothing relevant in /var/log/system.log.X.bz2 Thanks, Alex Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/203694-sleep-only-works-once/#findComment-1376356 Share on other sites
