masoudt
Hey guys, Here's my hardware: MOBO: GA-P35-DS3L Graphics: Nvidia 9600GT 512MB Sound & LAN work OOB PCI wifi: I've tried Linksys WMP-300N, D-Link DWA-552 & TP-Link TL-WN851N cards, nothing works! I did a retail install of 10.6.0 using Chameleon based on this guide: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php...p;mode=threaded I used that installer for the GA-P35-DS4 board, and his DSDT and settings all worked, except for pci wifi cards. According to the wiki, my cards should work OOB. I've tried everything to get a working install (adding AtherosFix.kext, changing pci slots, creating my own DSDT, changing BIOS options, booting into x64 and x32.) Anyone know what else I can do to get this wifi working? I'm at my wits end! lspci reads my pci card, but it says "Atheros Communications unknown device, id: pci168c,0029". I've added the device id to AirportAtheros21.kext in IO80211Family.kext but still it doesn't work. HELP PLEASE! Thanks in advance. masoudt
FINALLY!!! I finally got it to work if anyone was interested. Had to upgrade to 10.6.2 (make sure you delete SleepEnabler.kext first). Then updated the Airport Utility via Software Update. Finally, added device id to AirportAtheros21.kext (64-bit kext). Now airport works perfectly in 64 bit mode!
