I've been trying to get OSX to work for a week now, to no avail. Basically, the install goes all the way to the end, when it is "Finishing Installation" and then it just stalls. It doesn't freeze, as I am able to quit the installer, move the windows around, etc. I've tried it 3 times, and it always happens at the same point, "Running 10.4.6 Combo Update Intel Base System + SenyaZa V1.2 Decrypts Installer Script". I've had it sit there for 5+ hours, so I know its not just running slow like the rest of the install. So I always have to restart at that point, which forces me to reinstall the WHOLE package again (since Upgrade seems to reinstall everything anyways).

When selecting options for the Intel and AMD tab (customize), I deselect all of the Intel parameters, and use AMD SSE2. My system is running an AMD Athlon 64 3200+, with 1.5 GB RAM. I'm installing on the same hard drive, but seperate partition from Windows XP Pro. I am using the Hot ISO DVD image.

Any ideas?

So I tried to "upgrade" and just not include the AMD files (most of which had already been installed, expect the SenyaZa files). It went through and didn't freeze. But now when I try to boot a get a "chain booting error". I read the wiki, and it says:

"Make sure your OSX partition (af) is not UNDER an extended partition. It also have to be a PRIMARY Partition, not a Logical. Ex.:

bad:

-hda1, primary, boot, ntfs, etc. (windows partition)

-hda2, extended...

-hda3, primary, af, etc.

-hda4, logical, ntfs, etc. "

My OS X partition is primary, but it is also under an extended partition (according to diskpart). How would I fix this?

(An answer to the NTLDR problem would be nice too if known)
