ALC1200 audio not working, even with proper kext...

Hi everyone,

 

I'm running iDeneb 10.5.8 (upgraded from 10.5.7 using iDeneb Delta Upgrade) on my machine. Everything seems to be working fine, except for sound and microphone...

 

Here goes my system specs:

 

> AMD Phenom II X3 720 BE @ 3.36 GHz

> Asus M3A78-EM (AMD 780G/SB700)

> 4 GB DDR 2 800 MHz Corsair XMS2

> ATI Radeon HD4870 1GB

> Integrated audio ALC1200 (not working)

> Lan Realtek R1000 (working fine)

> HDD 250 GB + 40 GB (Sata - AHCI)

> DVD-RW Sony/Lite-On (Sata)

> 2.1 Stereo Sound + Headphone (not working)

> Trust Wireless Mouse and Keyboard

 

I downloaded the proper sound kext from here

and installed using Kext Helper b7 (I also tried with OSX86Tools, and had the same result).

 

System Profiler properly shows my audio adapter after installing the kext...

 

 

but there's no audio device listed in sound preferences...

Any ideas of what's going on?

 

I also tried Voodoo 9.5.0 kernel with 10.5.8, and both AnV 9.6.0 and Voodoo kernels in 10.5.7, but no success at all. AppleAzaliaAudio.kext does work without problems, but it's only 2 channels, there's no line-in for microphone (I'm using that pink connection) and front pannel connectors don't work.

Okay, problem solved. I just removed my old (?) kexts and installed the ALC888 kext from kexts.com.

Now analog line-in/out and S/PDIF digital out are working fine.
