RobD
I recently bought a Samsung Syncmaster 2243SN. I have a problem with getting Leopard to occupy fully all the available space on the monitor. At full resolution (1920x1080), there's a vertical unused space of about 2-3cm on the left and 1cm on the right not used. I also run Windows 7, with which this problem doesn't arise, all the screen's real estate is fully used. The monitor has only a VGA input, I have it hooked up to my ATI 1950xt through a DVI-VGA adapter. Changing resolution doesn't help, and I have no option to change frequency. It's not a huge problem, but it would be great if there's a simple workaround to get the monitor to display all available pixels properly. Any ideas? RobD
Just bumping this thread to ask if anybody knows why Leopard doesn't manage all the screen real estate for this monitor. I've tried using SwitchResX, a different vga/dvi adaptor... but nothing solves this problem as yet. The annoying thing about it is the horizontally squished effect, a circle appears more of an oval shape. The monitors control panel doesn't help much. Anyone have an idea? Could a different video card driver maybe help? Thanks. RobD
Almost a year later, still have this problem. Any ideas (apart from changing the video card)?
