I've decided to put together another system (already have one running 10.57), to put a fresh install of 10.6 on.

So I could use some help in deciding what MB, Video card, and CPU to base it on. If possible I'd like the TV-OUT on the video card to be functional (I never could get the one on my PNY 9500GT to work :( ). I'm not looking for the cheapest system, but also don't need a speed demon, meaning I'd like to take advantage of any CPU bargains that currently exist. I'm leaning towards an Intel CPU, Asus MB, and nVidia 9 series video.

Any suggestions appreciated.

Also, if this has been covered (I've searched but didn't find anything suitable), then just a link to that topic would suffice.

Thanks

If you are still interested, have a look at my sig. You could replace the CPU with a cheaper one.

You could also buy cheaper RAM. I believe my video card can't be found any longer.

Thanks for the reply Alessandro, I've decided to try and upgrade to SL on my current Hackint0sh. Unfortunately, I haven't found any threads regarding the Intel D945GZ board that my system has. Been browsing for the past couple hours without any luck.

Anyway, just picked up a 1TB SATA drive, so I'll try a test installation on that. Good thing I've got a MacBook Pro just in case ;)
