drule Posted December 9, 2009 Share Posted December 9, 2009 I've decided to put together another system (already have one running 10.57), to put a fresh install of 10.6 on. So I could use some help in deciding what MB, Video card, and CPU to base it on. If possible I'd like the TV-OUT on the video card to be functional (I never could get the one on my PNY 9500GT to work ). I'm not looking for the cheapest system, but also don't need a speed demon, meaning I'd like to take advantage of any CPU bargains that currently exist. I'm leaning towards an Intel CPU, Asus MB, and nVidia 9 series video. Any suggestions appreciated. Also, if this has been covered (I've searched but didn't find anything suitable), then just a link to that topic would suffice. You could replace the CPU with a cheaper one. You could also buy cheaper RAM. I believe my video card can't be found any longer. drule Posted April 12, 2010 Author Share Posted April 12, 2010 Thanks for the reply Alessandro, I've decided to try and upgrade to SL on my current Hackint0sh. Unfortunately, I haven't found any threads regarding the Intel D945GZ board that my system has. Been browsing for the past couple hours without any luck. Anyway, just picked up a 1TB SATA drive, so I'll try a test installation on that.
