Silent OSX Posted June 20, 2006 Share Posted June 20, 2006 The INFINITY RS482 Is anything gonna work on this mobo? I mean I've heard about sluggish USB, slow ATA, Soundboard not working. I doubt Firewire and network will work (after reading for a while).. Will the onboard video work with callisto drivers? The ATA problem seems to be worked out, but how about the rest.. Dark Posted June 20, 2006 Share Posted June 20, 2006 I'm using that board in the following config: Aspire X-QPack DFI Infinity RS482 AMD64 X2 3800+ @ 2.6GHz 2x1GB G.Skill PC4000 GBHZ @ DDR-520 MSI X1800XL 512MB flashed to MSI X1800XT 2x200GB WD2000JB PATA BenQ DW1655 Lightscribe DVD±RW XClio 450BL 450W Works: ATA (slow until after installing Zippy fix) Onboard NIC (Realtek) USB Firewire Doesn't work: Onboard Sound (driver being worked on) Haven't tried: Onboard Video Outside of having to disable one of the cores (common X2 issue) the system is quite fast.
