Hi guys, I'm new here, and I just thought to post since I need some help.

I successfully installed Leopard using iPC following these instructions.

however, i get a 'waiting for root device' error. also notable is 'failed to load extension com.apple.driver.AppleACPIPCI' in yellow a couple of lines before.

here are my specs:

Compaq Presario sr1250nx
motherboard: ASUS PTGD1-LA
Intel Pentium 4 515 2.93 GHz
Chipset Intel 915G
512 MB RAM
500GB SATA HD

if there is any other information required that would help figure out the problem, please ask and i'll let you know.

Yeah, there is, and I remember selecting it...

lemme try one more time.

alright, now i've got it working, booted and everything but...

I cannot get the sound to work!

I'm using Realtek ALC880 8-channel High Definition Audio

I've tried various things i've found here on the forums and 'HD Audio Output' is listed in the system preferences but I still can't get any sound out of the headphone port in the front. Haven't tried the output in the back though.
