I successfully installed Leopard using iPC following these instructions. however, i get a 'waiting for root device' error. also notable is 'failed to load extension com.apple.driver.AppleACPIPCI' in yellow a couple of lines before. here are my specs: Compaq Presario sr1250nx motherboard: ASUS PTGD1-LA Intel Pentium 4 515 2.93 GHz Chipset Intel 915G 512 MB RAM 500GB SATA HD if there is any other information required that would help figure out the problem, please ask and i'll let you know. qaisar Posted December 6, 2009 Share Posted December 6, 2009 you have installed Osx, if then it happend, "waiting for boot device" its because ur HDD is not found, first figure out what sata controller you have for HDD then install its driver from the disk. maybe it help. I cannot get the sound to work! I'm using Realtek ALC880 8-channel High Definition Audio I've tried various things i've found here on the forums and 'HD Audio Output' is listed in the system preferences but I still can't get any sound out of the headphone port in the front. Haven't tried the output in the back though.
