creigcooper
Ok, I'm very new to all this... actually, I've never sat in front of a Mac before a week ago when I stumbled on the OSX86Project site. Here's a quick of what my system is... Acer TravelMate 5720-6969 iATKOS v7 10.5.7 DVD Dual boot Vista/OS X Added during install: Voodoo kernel: both 9.5.0 & 9.7.0 Intel video driver for X3100 Broadcom BCM57xx Attached is a pic of what I get when a file gets done downloading and trys to mount (i think that's what it's doing at least). If I download the file using Vista and then run it with the Mac install this does not happen. Only when the file is downloaded using Mac. Other than this, the system works great with exception to wireless (which is hopeless from what I've read) and the card reader. Any help would be appreciated! creigcooper
Sounds logical... how can I fix it? I followed the instructions in the sticky at the top of this forum, but that didn't help. Haken
Sounds logical... how can I fix it? I followed the instructions in the sticky at the top of this forum, but that didn't help. I dunno if it'll works but: Maybe use osX86tools for delete the kernel you dont want. After, take the good seatbelt for the kernel you have, install it well ( with chwn and chmod ) Do a clean with Osx86 tools ( extensions cache & co ) Reboot & cross fingers Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/200972-kernel-panic-every-time-i-download-something/#findComment-1351776 Share on other sites
creigcooper
Haken- Tried that, to no avail... Now I did a complete reinstall with only the 9.7.0 kernel and the same thing is happening. Any other suggestions? Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/200972-kernel-panic-every-time-i-download-something/#findComment-1352651 Share on other sites
creigcooper
I have tried that, but it doesn't correct the issue. I can mount a .dmg fine as long as it was previously on the drive. If I download it and it tries to mount, I get the panic. danerd
I have tried that, but it doesn't correct the issue. I can mount a .dmg fine as long as it was previously on the drive. If I download it and it tries to mount, I get the panic. Try to completely remove the seatbelt.kext.
