I too have the same problem (http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=200132). Hopefully someone knows a fix to this error. Just curious, how did you install Snow Leopard exactly? -Will Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/200137-comappledriverappleacpiplatform-kernel-panic/#findComment-1346241 Share on other sites

Hopefully someone knows a fix to this error. Just curious, how did you install Snow Leopard exactly? -Will will i've tried just about everything. i tried using the amd guide at osx86 wiki but that requires the use of chameleon pkg. the chameleon package wont work on my system. it always says installation failed. apparently chameleon doesn't work under snow leopard. i have snow leopard running very well on a G31M-ES2L and a EP45-UD3P (hacintoshes based on gigabyte motherboards). those were easy. there is a complete package installer for each. with the f730 i have been using voodoo kernel 9.6.0. i've tried several bootloaders including iPC and MyHack. my preferred method is to copy a preexisting install of snow leopard onto a partition and then apply the modifications (as opposed to modifying a copy of mac install disc, installing, and then modifying again). the ep45-ud3p installation guide had a lot of modification to bios settings. i think it helped a lot. i looked at the bios setup for the f730 and noticed that there aren't too many options. i've googled com.apple.driver.AppleACPIPlatform. it seems that this is a common problem on Apple built Macs. but all they have to do is to format the drive and re-install osx. we have more of a problem. if you find a solution, please let me know vic Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/200137-comappledriverappleacpiplatform-kernel-panic/#findComment-1346438 Share on other sites
