marco33
First, here is my conf: MOBO : ASROCK K8Upgrade-NF3 VIDEO: ATI RADEON 9550; VGA output used Proc: AMD Sempron 2800+ RAM: 1GO HDD: 200GO IDE Primary Master DVD: IDE secondary Master After starting with iPC_OSx86_10_5_6_Universal_PPF5_Final DVD, some lines displayed and reboot. If I press F8 and start with verbose mode (-v), the last lines displayed before reboot are: Loading Darwin/x86 Loading HFS+ file: [mach_kernel] from 4230a80 Loading HFS+ file: [mach_kernel] from 4230a80 LoadDrivers: from [system/Library/Extensions.mkext] Loading HFS+ file: [system/Library/Extensions.mkext] from 4230a80 Loading HFS+ file: [system/Library/Extensions.mkext] from 4230a80 So far, what I checked/attempted: - Boot DVD goes very far on my Packard Bell Laptop, so it is not a DVD burn problem - DVD image MD5 checked - PPF concerning NForce applied on DVD image - checked P/N of Sempron and confirmed with AMD datasheet SSE2/SSE3 compatibility; also checked with CPU-z - tried -x, -f , noacpi, ... with no result - tried connecting/diconnecting HDD, inverting HDD and DVD, no result - update of BIOS from 2.00 to 2.40 version: no result I have search all the forum for hours with no result. Can some one help me ? Did I missed something ? Thanks. More infos: Itried to boot from USB DVD reader : same problem I changed the video card : same problem I changed DVD and HDD positions (from slave to master an so on ..): no improvement I tried with only 512 MO RAM: same Same things with Kalyway distro ! Windowjunk
I don't really know much about this, but did you enable AHCI mode in your BIOS? marco33
No, this option is not available in my BIOS; what is it for? Windowjunk
Sadly, I don't have that option either, but as I heard, AHCI mode is used to boot iAtkos. Waiting for a reply in my other thread to see if AHCI can be bypassed possibly. marco33
As I understand, AHCI is only a problem with SATA HDD; as I am using IDE, it shouldn't be a problem. Windowjunk
I have IDE too, so did you mess with the bios? Like, how do you get your computer to even recognize the iAtkos disk?
