Arabguy
Hey! Long story short : Installed 10.5.6, screen goes blank after a baby blue screen, The pc is not locked, it's just the video is not displaying. I hooked up a seperate monitor and pressed my "LCD/CRT" button couple of times and I saw lines on the seperate monitor. Then I would press that button again and i see on my laptop monitor one weird colour thats being intensified. So I get myself a copy of 10.6, put that in..boots up from CD without any command, however the video problem is now not even letting me get to the install screen When I F8, the text tells me that I have a G65 with 7 mb of ram. I dont know what that really means because my laptop runs windows 7 with aero, and also runs pretty graphics intesive games like ArmA, and both of these things need way more than 7 MB of ram. Am I out of luck in terms of installing OSX on my laptop? PS: most ppl that happen to have an Inspiron 1520 seem to have a nvidia card, and i'm astonished how I have an intel videocard that somehow manages to keep my 1680X1050 resolution up with ease. commands I tried ; "Graphics Mode"="1024x768x32" -v (only this one since there was no lockups during the DVD bootup, otherwise I'd use -v noapic cpus=2) Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/199319-inspiron-1520-with-intel-graphics-card/ Share on other sites
