Psycho.Snake
Greetings, I Hope that I'm in the right track I got myself the copy [iDeneb Mac OSX v1.6 10.5.8 (Lite Edition)] I have my laptop Acer Aspire 5520 Specifications of the Notebook: Processor: AMD Athlon 64-Bit X2 Dual Core 1.9MHz. Mainboard: nForce 610M. VGA: Nvidia GeForce 7000M (Up to 384MB). Wireless: Atheros AR5007E RAM: 1GB+2GB DDR2. HDD: Samsung 500GB SATA. When I started to install the Mac OSX, it didn't show the hard disk even when entring the disk utalities. I searched all over the forum and noticed that this was the case with all trials, So I figured I'd try some other method I got a screw driver and got my HDD out of the laptop, then I put it into an external USB case. Then when I tried to install, Walla, The hard disk was there and I could now complete my install Then after caring the installation to the last step, it asked me to restart The problem is that I get Panic Messages and the OS doesn't start I think that the problem is with the KEXT don't matching my drivers So, what would you suggest to do now ? Mollusk
Thanks a lot!! This was really helpful! I have 2 questions: after installation I didn't use the boot flags mentioned and was not able to get wifi or ethernet. I didn't realize this at first and attempted installing drivers I found on the net which killed my install. I wasn't able to boot after that. If I use -v -f idlehalt=0 cpus=2 will the wifi drivers work? Another question is did you ever end up getting the correct graphics drivers? I can't seem to find which one I need. If you or anyone can answer these questions that would be great. Thanks again for the great guide.
