AsusZ84JHelp
Exactly what the title says. Today, I successfully installed Snow Leopard 10.6 to my Lenovo IdeaPad S10e netbook. Now the question is: how can I safely update 10.6 to 10.6.1, and subsequently from 10.6.1 to 10.6.2? Any help is appreciated, and I thank you for your time. AsusZ84JHelp
Well, as it turned out, I figured out what to do without needing any help. Here's what I did. After 10.6 was already successfully installed, I then did the following: 1. Installed the S10 Enabler (to ensure smooth updating of Snow Leopard on the Lenovo Ideapad S10e), of which the latest version is 1.1.9, to the hard drive containing Snow Leopard. 2. Rebooted the machine. 3. Installed the latest software updates through Software Update (yes, it's true: all updates, including 10.6.2, even when on 10.6 and not 10.6.1, can safely be updated that way). The only caveat, though it doesn't impact updating from 10.6 to 10.6.2, is, at least in my case, a message that comes up saying the latest firmware update for the MacBook Air (which the Ideapad is recognized as in Snow Leopard) cannot be installed because of not having the right hardware. This comes up after the next reboot into the Desktop following the Software Update.
