bjchroni
Hey everyone, im new to the forum so bear with me... I have followed basically every installation guide out there dealing with the 10.4.6 install DVD. I cannot get the DVD to see any of my hard drives. The DVD boots up fine, I go to utilities -> disk utility and the only drive present is the DVD drive that the install DVD is in. I have one IDE and one SATA drive, I am trying to get OS X on the IDE drive. I set the partition on the IDE drive to active and using diskpart set the type to AF using "create part primary id=af" I'v tryed all of the following and still get the same result: switching the hard drive to another IDE controller, unplugging the SATA drive, different jumper settings on the IDE. Im pretty sure I have compatitble hardware as well... hardware: ASRock 939dual-sata2 motherboard AMD Athlon 64 3000+ maxtor 20 gig IDE drive WD 250 gig SATA drive 1gig corsair value select ram NEC DVD-RW I have not found Install guides or posts with any similar problems, so I am stuck... Any guidance would be greatly appreciated Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/19809-problems-with-1046-install-dvd/ Share on other sites
