Ickis
So I'm having problems booting from the iATKOS v7 DVD I'm an EBIOS Error. EBIOS read error: Error 0xbb Block 962 Sectors 64 I can't get it to do anything else I've got a Dell XPS M1530 OS: Windows 7 RC 7100 Processor: Intel Core2Duo T8100 @ 2.10GHz Chipset: Intel PM965 Video: nVidia 8600m GT CD/DVD/Blu-Ray: Mat{censored}a BD-RE UJ-225S HDD: WDC WD3200BEVT-75ZCT2 Burning Utility: Roxio Creator Primer Blu-Ray 10.2 I obtained iATKOS v7, did a checksum on the zip file - it was good. Unzipped it and did a checksum on the iso - it was good. So I threw in a disc, turned the burn setting down to the slowest (DVD-R x1 / DVD+R x2.4) and proceeded with the burning. I've tried both DVD-R and DVD+R with no luck. So, did a few searches, saw someone say that the Bios may be any issue. So I downgraded my bios from Dell System Bios A12 to A09. Still, no go. The worst part about it is, on this exact same set up, I managed to get an older version of iATKOS to work. The only possible differences were different media and/or I was running Vista 64. *Edit: I did an install of Vista 64, installed Roxio, did a burn and still no luck. **Edit: Sweet, I downloaded ISORecorder 3.1 which supports Windows 7 and 64bit. Did a burn at x2.0 on DVD-R and it's booting great. Hopefully everything else will go smoothly from here on out. Thank you in advance for your help -Ickis [the Monster] Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/197768-iatkos-v7-on-xps-m1530-problems/ Share on other sites
