PacJack360 Posted November 11, 2009 Share Posted November 11, 2009 I'm trying to install iATKOS v7 on my HP Touchsmart IQ504, I'm able to get to the installer using cpus=1, on my first try I left all the settings be and tried an install I got almost to the end of the installation and my computer restarted before it finished all the way, the second time I figured I fool around and tell it to use the X3100 driver for video, and I didn't watch the install but somewhere after halfway it went to a kernel panic saying no HPETs available. The specs are Intel GMA965 Chipset, X3100 Intel Video, Intel Core 2 Duo, 4GB Ram, I think that covers the necessary info, any suggestions?
