I think everbody here knows that 10.6.2 wont work on intel's atom :laser:

I have an eee pc 1000he (it has an atom processor)..

have someone tried 10.6.2 on this eee pc? I've read, that 10.6.2 will run with 10.6.1's kernel.. but I have some questions:

Is there a more elegant solution? like a patched 10.6.2 kernel?

And have some tried the "old" kernel with 10.6.2?

Are there any drawbacks when I use this method for 10.6.2 on atom?

:P

I am using the 10.6.1 kernel with 10.6.2 on my eeePC 1008HA which uses an atom n280. The 10.6.2 kernel just goes to the apple logo, and never gets to the pinwheel. No KP, no anything. Don't know exactly what to make of it. I would say use this method for now, and just replace your kernel when someone inevitably mods one for all of us using netbooks.

Wrong, there is a patched 10.6.2 kernel out and it works great!
