arvster
There are no 64-bit Mac OS X versions that I know about. However, the ordinary 32-bit version with AMD patches works just fine. Snouser
So my 64-bit AMD will not work as a 64 CPU. Does Mac use the CPU as a 32 bit then? Sorry for my bad english.. Proteo
Does Mac use the CPU as a 32 bit then? In short, yes. But remember that for a real use of 64 bit extensios, not only the OS but the programs as well need to be coded accordingly. As far as I know, most (if not all) of the OSX software is 32 bit.
