eversynth
I have a nVidia GeForce 9400 GT(from XfX) that is giving me trouble: the DVI output doen't seem to work. I managed to install SL and everything is fine with the VGA output, but the DVI outputs only a black screen. It doesn't work even in the installer! (retail disk) I need to use the DVI output, because I have a DVI TripleHead2Go setup. How do I install my 9400 GT and have DVI working? The card is not included in the OSX86Tools list... Any and all help appreciated, I don't know what to do... everdone
Use OS86Tools to create an EFI string (scroll to the bottom of the list, click custom) then paste it into your boot.plist using a device properties key. eversynth
I did as suggested, added the EFI String, but DVI is still not working.... I found an .xml and put it in com.apple.boot.plist, now I have DVI working, but the resolutions list disappeared, it only shows 1024x768 With the string, and VGA only output it showed all resolutions... Do I need a file named DSDT.aml? If yes, how do I make it and where do I put it? I can't find a simple tutorial [uPDATE: SOLVED] I reinstalled Snow Leopard, did again the string with osx86tools, selected VGA/DVI-I when generating, and now it works! Thank you.
