greetings

i second the Gigabyte GA-EP45-UD3P. tried this with an old 8600GT and Snow Leopard and it works like a charm. everything just works. just follow the instructions on the lifehacker page.

thx ,

yeah the tutorial is absolutly great.

but my problem is 2 find the motherboard in germany(out of order at this time /hard 2 find . and the other question is ... can i use a other quad proc. like the q8200 or q9400 ??

the 96 series are little bit out of my budget.

greetings and thx alot 2 u guys

i just can find these boards...

GA-EP45-UD3R

GA-EP45-UD3LR

can i do this with this boards ?

For the *most part* the ep45 boards with just one letter difference are all about the same, so you should be good to go. For instance, I have a GA-EP45C-UD3R and it works great. You might want to search this site for the board you wish to purchase; chances are someone else has them and you can see how easy/well it works for them. Since the Gigabyte boards are very popular here you should have no trouble finding someone who is running it.

For instance, check here:
