Initial Installation iATKOS_v7

Hello everyone! I have posted in the past regarding this same problem.

 

When booting from the DVD fo rmy initial installation it seems to continuously stop at

 

WAITING FOR ROOT DEVICE

 

I have had many suggestions as to what the problem may be (thankyou to everyone) but I seem to be continuously failing.

I decided to go clean with the install. I unplugged the HD with my windows install on it and tried to do a full install as if the PC had no operating system at all. I placed the DVD drive as device 1 and the HD as device 2 without any other devices plugged into the motherboard. This didn't seem to help. I am still getting the exact same error message. I think my brain just melted and ran out my ears!

 

I hope someone out there has had the same troubles as I have and can help me.

 

I am running a HP Media Centre PC.

AMD Phenom 9500 Quad Core 2.20 GHz

3 gigs of ram

I have 2 HDD each 336 gig with windows vista on one and the other I am going to use for osx

My DVD is a DVD +R DL Lightscribe Multidrive.
