Drauku
I'm trying to install OS X leopard on my pc with the following hardware cpu: Intel single core p4 3.4Ghz board: Asus P5WD2-premium ram: 2GB DDR2-800 RAM gcard: ATI X1800XT (512MB ram) and i am also installing this to a samsung IDE drive Here is what i've done so far. I have 2 versions of Kalyway disks, a 10.5.1 and 10.5.2 both of these load up the installer and everything fine, and I even formatted the drive with the disk utilites. the issues with these are that when I progress to the last step, the actual installation of OS X leo, the 10.5.1 verifies the disk and says "disk read error" after reaching 100%, and the 10.5.2 does so without even starting a progress bar to check the disk... I also have an iATKOS_5i disk that will load the installer, and even makes it past disk verifiaction and installs OS X leo....the problem is that the ATKOS disk doesnt have support for any of my hardware listed. That being said, when I try to boot off the installation on the samsung drive (the one from ATKOS) I get the screen asking what startup options to use, and anything i've tried results in it attempting to load past the darwin/x86 boot options screen, then resetting the computer.... Can anyone give me a step by step of what to do, with links to good disk images if possible? i've also tried to use the boot-132 loader, but i have no idea what anyone is talking about and havent been able to figure out from the forums. I burned 2 CDs, one boot KABYL and one generic off of http://thepiratebay.org/torrent/4455569/Boot-132__Leopard but all that happens when i try booting off these disks is i get the grey background screen with a white apple logo in the center...no mouse pointer or loading circle or anything, it just hangs there forever... please help Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/193739-need-help-installing-on-p5wd2-premium/ Share on other sites
