pavan87
I had a working install of iPC 10.5.6 on my Acer T180 but I tried to install a kext which caused the OS not to load anymore so I though the easiest way to fix it would be to format the hard drive and reinstall iPC. I had the disc I installed with and the install completed without a problem but on startup, it would get stuck at the gray Apple screen. I then booted with the –f –v flags and it would start scrolling text really fast and then the screen would go black. From what I remember, I am installing it using the same options I did the previous time and it worked perfectly. I might have selected something and not remember it anymore, but I can’t figure out what it is. Here are my specs: -Acer Aspire T180 -AMD Athlon 64 3500+ -3.00GB of RAM - GeForce 6100 nVidia (on board video) -RealTek ALC888 Audio -Marvell Yukon 88E8056 PCIE Ethernet controller The kexts I’m selecting for customization: Chipset: AppleNForceATA nForce Drivers Audio: ALC888 Fix: Seatbelt.kext 10.5.5 From what I remember, these are all of the options I selected during customization. I’ve tried installing with the Natit video kext and it still has the same problem of a black screen or hanging at the gray Apple screen. Does anyone know what the problem might be and how I can reinstall it properly? Thanks in advance.
