My mobo ep45-ud3r gigabyte.

I only install 10.6 from another harddrive that run leopard ideneb 10.5.8. I have installed snowosxinstall universal 10.6 432 gm v 3.5 and i have installed snow os x retail with chameleon bootloader. I tried one time to install from the universal snow dvd but it just hung at verifing dmi pool data so i didnt mess with it after that. i find it faster to install from the OS itself. You may have to unhide files to open OSinstall.mpkg (macosxinstall\system\installation\packages\).

For a step by step i will not provide that because i dont have your motherboard. I did find that installing the retail dvd i already had sound and my network card working otb without patching unlike 10.5.x versions.

Try this for starters: snowleopard install guide

Download your audio patch here and install if you dont have sound.

You may need this for your sound if still not working which most ppl do need it.apllehda.kext

I found out that installing the azailla.kext with voodoohda.kext together that i didnt have to end up patching later.voodoohda kext

Install after you can boot into the os. I found that my harddrives were not visible. Finder>preference> show harddrives.

Check sound output in system configuration before messing with sound. Mine is always on headphones when first starting. check internal speakers for sound.

I have to boot into -x32 for my network card to work. If you can't boot with -x32 try arch=i386 or arch=i386 -f or -x32 -f.

Find what works and edit com.apple.boot.plist in "extra" on you snow leopard drive. drag to desktop to edit then replace.

Hope that helps!
