SNOWFLAKES
I installed snow leopard in the ga-ep45-ud3p board without any problems. Everything works but the Microphone. I tried the same approach installing Snow Leopard Server but get a Kernel Panic at start up. I also tried the Chameleon 2 RC3 - Boot CD with the same KP error. Does anybody have any tips how to install Snow Leopard Server and maybe could tell me what the KP-errror means. See attached picture of the Kernel Panic Thanks Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/191489-snow-leopard-server-lifehacker-guide/ Share on other sites

Just built a 10.6.1 client on an EP45-DS4 - I'll let you know the results if it works or not but sorry can't help on the KP. SNOWFLAKES
What kernel do you use ?What's your motherboard ? I have a running SL server updated to 10.6.1 and used BlackOSX CD to boot the DVD. I am using a Gigabite GA-EP45-UD3P Motherboard I do not know what the kernel is but it is the same one that I used for Snow Leopard. I the Likehacker guide has a installer which is made for my motherboard. It installs really easy with Snow Leopard but does not work with SL Server. Does SL Server use a different kernel then SL? Here is what my installer says: This package will install PC EFI 10.1 with Snow Leopard 64-bit support. It contains PC EFI 10.1 and a specific DSDT and KEXTs for this motherboard. Specifically for the Gigabyte EP45-UD3P with a Dual DVI-Out Nvidia Graphics card and Intel Core based CPU. webhead45
I too am trying to install SL Server and can't boot to the Install Disc. I have also tried BlackosX boot dsc, as well as T3rr0Rists. Both have not worked. Any help regarding this matter would be greatly appreciated, thank you for your time.
