sxb
Hey everybody I installed Jas 10.4.8 on a compaq laptop with windows XP (dual boots with bootcamp 3 in the winxp installation) and after installation this is the error message i see : panic(cpu 0 caller 0x003A8D2F): unable to find driver for this platform "ACPI" along with other debugging info and a message that i need to restart the computer even though ive done so. Bootcamp in Windows XP allows me to see the file contents in the OSX partition and i realize the following are missing : AppleACPIPlatform.kext AppleSMBIOS.kext IOATAFamily.kext I managed to get these from threads in this forum .. the point is how do i copy these files to the System/Library/Extensions. Also, is there any other issue im not aware of regarding the failure of OSX bootup ? Thanks in advance Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/191409-osx-tiger-and-missing-ktext-files-how-to/ Share on other sites
