Compaq NC6000

A friend of mine asked me to install Mac OS X on an old laptop, so I've tried many times and I just seems impossible, or I'm really missing something. So far I've tried iAtkos 10.5.5, iPC 10.5.6 and also uphuck 1.4i 10.4.9, but I haven't got any luck yet.

 

I am able to boot the installation discs, although it takes quite some time, like almost half an hour, I'm also able to install Mac OS, which also takes ages, except for uphuck. And with uphuck and iPC after installation the laptop gets stuck at 'Using xxxx buffer headers and xxxx cluster IO buffer headers' With iAtkos I had some more luck with booting, it hang at 'Mdnsresponder couldn't read local hostname'. So so far no real luck.

 

I've tried all possible combinations of kexts, but it just doesn't seem to work. The laptop has a ICH4 chipset so I've tried the ICH kexts and the PIIXAta kexts, but I just can't get it working. Could someone please give a hand.

 

I must appologize for some horrible English sentences, but English isn't my mothertongue unfortunately. I do have some experience with OSX86, but I'm not really an insider, so could you please take that into consideration giving possible solutions?

Is there really no solution, because I've read that the HP/Compaq NC6000 is an ideal notebook for osx86, so it really bothers me that I don't seem to succeed in installing Mac OSX on that laptop, because I've had no troubles at all with some more tricky notebooks, e.g. a notebook with a Radeon Xpress 200M.

And to be a bit more clear perhaps, I prefer to install Leopard on that laptop, but I've tried Tiger as well, because it just didn't seem possible, but I'm having the same problems with Tiger, so that's also the reason why I posted it here.
