gizbug
used the JaS and have a clean install on my ASUS V6J. My questions are: 1. How do you know what hardware was installed correctly and which werent? I went into my system profiler, but what am I looking for? 2. I have a GIGABIT LAN Nic card (Realtek I believe), and not sure if it installed correctly. I try loading the webbrowser, and cant find a connection. Under the profiler, it says built-in ethernet, en0. 3. Built-In Intel PRO/Wireless 3945 A/B/G miniPCI , my wireless doesnt seem to work either. Any suggestions, or other ASUS users input? gwprod12
The simple fact is that every piece of known hackintosh lore is known by someone who frequents this board. unfortunately, not every one of them is idle enough to answer each question. But, dollars to donuts, they've answered someone else's similar question. Always search first. Your first tools for figuring sh*t out are... ioreg -l and dmesg... these will give you some idea of what's being detected and understood. So, if you have a lot of "Family specific matching fails" in dmesg... it's safe to assume that they arent being properly associated with drivers, hence, not working correctly.
