Hello Guys,

i've been reading @ this forum for a longer time. Now its time that i contribute something to it.

I managed to install iDeneb 10.5.8 on my EEE PC 701 easily.

What works on the EEEPC:

Everything except sleep mode.

What you need:

- EEE PC obviously

- iDeneb 10.5.8

- 8/16GB SDHC or USB stick

- Win/Mac PC

- Trial Version of http://www.mediafour.com/products/macdrive/

- External DVD-Drive for EEE PC

- Drivers Package: http://air101.betablogs.net/LEOPARD-EEEPC.zip

Ok let's start. Insert iDeneb DVD into External DVD Drive and plug it inside eee pc.

Boot from it and let it load. You wont see the Next button at ideneb installation. So this one is tricky!

First format your sdhc card or usb stick with MAC OS Journaled. If you're back on main page where you dont see the next button do the following:

Press "Tab" and Press "Tab" again and hold it and while you hold it, press Spacebar. You'll get to the next Screen. Accept the license Agreement. Select your sdhc/usb stick. Now

Press "Tab" and Press "Tab" again and hold it and while you hold it, press Spacebar. You'll see a pic of Mac DVD and the HDD. Now just press "Spacebar" and the optional Installation screen willl pop up.

Select the following:

Chipset

ICHx Fixed

Kernel

Kernel 9.5.0 Voodoo

Fix

Seatbelt Fix

BatteryManager Fix

Voodoo PS2 Driver

Optional Language

Press OK and you'll return to pic of Mac DVD and the HDD. Now

Press "Tab" and Press "Tab" again and hold it and while you hold it, press Spacebar and the Installation will begin!

Once installed and the EEEPC has rebooted, remove the sdhc/usb stick and pop it in the windows PC.

Install http://www.mediafour.com/products/macdrive/ !

Ok once you can access the sdhc/usb stick begin with this:

Backup this Directory: /System/Library/Frameworks/OpenGL.framework/Versions/A

Move the OpenGL.framework/Versions/A from Zip Package to /System/Library/Frameworks/OpenGL.framework/Versions/A

Unpack all zips inside GMA900NOPAPERCLIP.zip and move the kext's to /System/Libary/Extensions and overwrite the original.

OK Hook the sdhc/usb stick back inside the eee pc. Boot from sdhc/usb stick. EEE PC will boot fine.

Once you're on the Desktop install IO80211Family_1.5.kext.zip, sound.zip, net.zip, KisMAC-0.2.99.dmg.

wget.zip and Screen Size Automator.zip are optional.

Once you're done, everything will work except sleep mode but that one has been fixed in older versions of leopard, gotta find out how :(

WLAN:

Open Kismac before you do anything. Go to prefererences and find the tab for drivers. Add the Airport Extreme Passive mode one. Active mode does not work. Exit that menu and then click start scan. You will start to see networks. Once you see networks quit Kismac.

Now go the airport icon in the top bar and click on Join Other Network. (if the icon is not there you need to go to network preferences and enable the icon.) Then click on show networks. Your network will come up. Click on it, click join and then it will ask you for your network password. Enter that and then it will connect to your network and be stable. You will have to set up a network in the networking preference panel for the airport card just like normal.

Enjoy a nice system on your EEEPC!

P.S. I'll make Screenshots and re-write the Tutorial to give proper instructions, everything at the moment was "reminded" by myself.
