DJPrymalInstynct
System Specs Intel P4 630 3.0 Ghz HT Gigabyte GA-8I848P775-G -Realtek AC850 Audio Driver -Intel 848P NorthBridge -Intel ICH5 SouthBridge -Marvell Lan Chipset Nvidia Geforce 6600GT NEC DVD R/RW Lite-On DVD-Rom D-Link DWL-G520 My system is booting 10.4.6 off of a 120 GB Maxtor Drive with XP on a second drive. I boot into OSX and everything work perfect, but My Wireless Card and my Audio. When I go into About Mac/More Info there is nothing listed under Audio (built in) and Nothing Listed under PCI Cards, even though I have every slot filled but 1. I have tried the Orange Ware Wireless Driver but when I to to set up the Connection in the Wireless System Prefrence it tells me that I am unable to access that file. And for the Audio I have tried about every fix I can find on this web site and so far nothing has worked. The Audio Page in the Wiki that has the full instructions with adding the Dev ID seemed to be going really well until in the nano Info.plist step I couldnt figure out where to put my Dev ID I had no <string> **other ids**</string> line in the file. Please offer any assistance you can. Thank you, Chad Zimmerman Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/18984-driver-problems-what-else/ Share on other sites
Rammjet
Try this for audio: http://wiki.osx86project.org/wiki/index.php/Audio <other ids> just means a list of ids similar to what you want to edit or add I haven't seen anyone get the G520 wireless working. DJPrymalInstynct
Do you think you could post a screen cap of this, because i still dont think I totaly understand. And in the HCL for 10.4.5 it lists the G520 as being recognized as an Airport Extreme. So i thought it might work. What USB Wireless would you say works easiest/best Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/18984-driver-problems-what-else/#findComment-124292 Share on other sites
Rammjet
Do you think you could post a screen cap of this, because i still dont think I totaly understand. <key>NVIDIA AC97 Audio</key> <dict> <key>CFBundleIdentifier</key> <string>com.apple.driver.AppleAC97AudioIntelICH</string> <key>ICH Type</key> <integer>99</integer> <key>IOClass</key> <string>AppleAC97AudioIntelICH</string> <key>IOPCIPrimaryMatch</key> <string>0x026b10de 0x005910de 0x00ea10de 0x00da10de 0x008a10de 0x006a10de 0x003a10de 0x01b110de</string> Add your ID combination next to the others in that last line. And in the HCL for 10.4.5 it lists the G520 as being recognized as an Airport Extreme. So i thought it might work. What USB Wireless would you say works easiest/best You could go install 10.4.5. You'll have to search for a USB wireless solution in the forum.
