metroidfreak33
Hi, I'm pretty much new to the hackintosh scene. I was looking into a netbook specifically to put leopard or snow leopard onto it. What one would you guys reccomend to use? The only limit I have is I want a 10inch one and one that can be upgraded to 2gb of RAM. What do you think? Thank you much! LS8
In general MSI Wind and Dell Mini are considered the most Mac OS X compatible netbooks. http://lmgtfy.com/?q=netbook+osx86 Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/188543-netbook/#findComment-1279567 Share on other sites
metroidfreak33
I'm looking at the MSI-wind at Bestbuy, but they have Intel® Graphics Media Accelerator 950 chips in them. I've read that this causes some copatablility problems. Do you know if the dell mini v10 with a Intel® Graphics Media Accelerator 500 would be a better choice? marugby123
As far as the Intel GMA950 graphics go, there really aren't any compatibility issues. I have the Asus EEE 1005HAB, which has that graphics chipset. It doesn't take much work to get the drivers working at all. I DON'T RECOMMEND getting this netbook. I've been screwing around with OS X since i got this. Ethernet and Wifi are IMPOSSIBLE thus far to get working. Everything else works flawlessly w/ an iDeneb v1.4 installation. Best bet, in my opinion, would actually be to go with an HP Mini. My friend and I have had a lot of success in installing OS X on these with everything working: sound, ethernet, wifi, display, etc. But thats just my personal opinion. marubgy123 Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/188543-netbook/#findComment-1279608 Share on other sites
metroidfreak33
Alright, I'll take your advice on that. I've also seen things about new chipsets being realesed soon. DO you think it'd make much difference to wait for those to be released?
