Asus g50vt getting install error"run preinstall script for 920SpeedStepKernal"

Hello,

I'm installing IPC 10.5.6 and I'm customizing the installation to just install everything because I do not know what to install myself.

And when it's installing I get I get this error "run preinstall script for 920speedstepkernal" and it fails the install.

Any ideas?

My computer configuration is in my sig.

Ok, so I try to install it again and when I was able to select which settings to install in the customization area I deselected 920SpeedStepkernal.

I had roughly 2 minuets left on this install, a big step up from the 18 minuets left when it failed the first time.

But it indeed failed again, this time it said that 930 sleepkernal failed instead.

I'm re-installing and will try it this time without installing that part.

Any help would be appreciated.

Ok, so I tried the install this time with out the 920 speedstepkernal and the 930 sleep kernal.

Now I got an error "failed: run prescript for 940Modbin"

I will try yet another install with out install the 940 this time......

I'm getting stuck on the 930SleepKernel as well (nForce 750i, E8500 C2D, 6 GB of DDR2 800, 9800 GT). Even when I deselect that kernel it seems to get stuck at the exact same spot. My first guess is a bad DVD (even though its a new one) and after that I have no clue.
