Hi guys, I have a problem...I have used iatkos v7 to install OSX to my PC...only thing i think that doesn't work is my graphics. I can't get the right resolution(1680x1050) and im stuck to 1024x768...

I've tried to insert my vendor id and device id and followed the various guides on there but no luck, still stuck with the resolution.... here are my system specs...ive done alot of searching, there is no clear guides to get this card working or a simple kext fix or anything!

-Intel E6300

-Gigabyte 965P - DS4

-2GB DDR2 667MHz GeIL Ultra Performance

-Connect3D ATI x1800XT 256MB PCI-E

do my specs look compatible for a hackintosh? how can i get the resolution working?

Yes. (as long as you stick with Leopard for the moment and don't try Snow Leopard)

You say you've tried everything. But obviously not the solution that has worked...

So lets narrow down the options here...

By everything I'm assuming you've tried at least the 3 solutions here:

rebooting every time and booting with the -v -f flags to rebuild your kext cache, right?

Can you post screenshots of your Hardware Profiler graffix window so we can see what were dealing with here? It would help us get a clear objective to give you a better hand.

gam3r,

if you can get your hands on IORegistryExplorer.app (google works well its also on your install disks (xcode) but its faster go get it from the net.) type 'graphics' into the search bar.

under Find the Key Property IOAccelTypes on the right hand column, in the picture below mine says

IOService:/AppleACPIPlatformExpert/PCI0@0/AppleACPIPCI/pci-bridge@1/IOPCI2PCIBridge/display@0/ATIRadeonX2000

does yours have ATIRadeonX1000 ?

(just trying to figure out if you've to your system to utilize the correct/load the correct driver.

(btw, do you have a custom dsdt.aml that you're using (or just the stock one that comes with Chameleon?)
