gwprod12
Okay. Some things to check. Did you install from DVD, DVD image into VMware, or did you use tiger.bz2.gz (assuming you're in 10.4.1) I assume from the picture that you arent in VMware. Is that true? Is your hard drive the Master drive on the Primary IDE controller? (this is important) If you're in VMware, there's other stuff that might be the problem. elwis
ok, so I cleared the CMOS just like sn8k said and I chacked to see if my HDD is the primary master and it is. but I still get the same errors just like before (IOATA, Still waiting..). What the **** is wrong? is it the SATA HD? Should I get an IDE HD? or is there something else? U.C.
1) Try an IDE Disk 2) Make sure IDE Disk is Primary Master 3) try rd=disk0s1 (1st Disk and 1st Partition) 4) I was having numerous problems, like "Waiting For Root Device", "IOATAController blocking Bus" and other weird errors 5) Tried VMware -> Native was a no go 6) Finally ghosted my Laptops fully working 10.4.6 install on to my disk 7) It worked perfect 8) Go find a OSX86'ed friend Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/18710-still-waiting-for-root-device-help/#findComment-126415 Share on other sites
