I tried to search in the forum to find a solution but couldnt find anything that works for me. if someones knows the solution please post it.

Thank You

My computer specs are:

Intel Pentium 4 3GHz HT

512 MB DDR

ATI Radeon 9200

160 GB SATA Maxtor HDD

Try this:

Primary master -> OS Disk

Primary slave -> Install Disk

Disable all other drives

This worked for me after having the exact same issue.

Goodluck!

Sis

What do you mean Install Disk? Like A CD? Because I didnt use any CD. In this guide that i used they didnt say anything about CD or a DVD. And is the OS Disk is The Harddrive?

Elwis,

What's your motherboard make & model? It looks like the IDE chipset might be the problem - a search on the forum for the phrase "ioatacontroller blocking bus" reveals a few links that may (or may not) help:

Hi, i have an ASUS P4S800D-X motherboard

OS Disk is the disk where you want to install OSX on.

Install disk is the disk where your install files are on.

Okay. Some things to check.

Did you install from DVD, DVD image into VMware, or did you use tiger.bz2.gz (assuming you're in 10.4.1)

I assume from the picture that you arent in VMware. Is that true?

Is your hard drive the Master drive on the Primary IDE controller? (this is important)

If you're in VMware, there's other stuff that might be the problem.

Yes its true I used the tiger.bz2.gz but i dont know how to check if my harddrive is the Master drive all i know about him is that its a SATA harddrive so maybe its different

ok, so I cleared the CMOS just like sn8k said and I chacked to see if my HDD is the primary master and it is. but I still get the same errors just like before (IOATA, Still waiting..). What the **** is wrong? is it the SATA HD? Should I get an IDE HD? or is there something else?

1) Try an IDE Disk

2) Make sure IDE Disk is Primary Master

3) try rd=disk0s1 (1st Disk and 1st Partition)

4) I was having numerous problems, like "Waiting For Root Device", "IOATAController blocking Bus" and other weird errors

5) Tried VMware -> Native was a no go

6) Finally ghosted my Laptops fully working 10.4.6 install on to my disk

7) It worked perfect

8) Go find a OSX86'ed friend
