goprana
I just received an HP DV6Z as a replacement for a SH**ty Hp DV6000 i had bought a long while ago. Anyway, I had Leopard 10.5.8 working fine on the intel based board on the 6000. However, on the DV6Z... AMD Athlon X2 Dual-Core Processor for Notebook PCs QL-65 (2.1GHz, 1MB L2 Cache) 4GB DDR2 System Memory 320GB 7200RPM SATA Hard Drive 512MB ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4530 Wireless-G Card with Bluetooth I've already gotten rid of the Vista Ultimate (64 bit) OS..and formatted the drive as HFS+ HOWEVER, using the Kalyway 10.5.2? disk (which worked fine on the INTEL board).... It keeps getting stuck during the initial boot (BEFORE even loading to the install screen) right after - acpi rsdp rev. 2 found at XXXXXXXX (I don't remember the address) I've tried googling and haven't found any solution that works. I've done -x -v -s , etc etc. but it always gets hung up on the boot right after the acpi rsdp line. DOES ANYONE have an idea or suggestion that might help me get this working. Why does it keep sticking on that..and what (considering the processor, etc.) can I do to get past that????? I really don't want to go back to windows. Thanks so much!!!
