SnowLeopard on HP NX9420 laptop

Hello,

 

I've followed the guide at http://lifehacker.com/5351485/how-to-build...start-to-finish Created the USB drive according to instructions because I was curious how far I would get with it on my hardware setup, which is comletely different from the recommended hardware in the guide but I figured I could use it as a starting point and perhaps get a working system with some tweaks.

 

Below are the computers I tried to boot with

 

HP NX9420 laptop

 

Intel Mobile 945PM Express Chipset

Core 2 Duo T7200 4 MB cache Intel Centrino Duo

ATI Mobility Radeon X1600 graphics adapter

4 GB DDR II SDRAM - 667MHz - PC2-5300

---

 

Dell Precision T5400

 

Intel 5400 Chipset

Quad-Core Xeon

NVIDIA Quadro FX570 graphics adapter.

 

I get the same error message at boot, I took a picture of it, it's attached this post or or below link:

I assume the relevant part in this error message is the part about AppleACPIPlatform. Any ideas or suggestions is appreciated.

I also own a NX9420 and try to install Snow Leo. Were you able to do a successfully installation on it?

if it so, did you write a small HowTo for that Notebooke?
