Thanks! a friend im building for, His G4 had a Firewire card. I pulled it and put in his new Hack/AMD system and all works great. My test system has a Creative Soundblaster Audigy 2ZS, and both the external & internal Firewire connection works. (tested with JVC DVcam & external HDD via Firewire) your best bet is to find a Audigy on ebay, then you;ll have the best of both worlds. discrete 6 or 8channel sound and Firewire 400mbs. this is with Leo 10.5.2...
