yuppiebenchmark Posted September 6, 2009 Share Posted September 6, 2009 i tried a 10.5.8 update using "Software Update" from within the OS (iPC 10.5.6). i was surprised when my machine booted without any kernel panics. all i had to do was reinstall my Soundcard and Network cards kext and i was back to normal. i have noticed my machine no longer wants to restart from the OS. if i try to restart... it goes through the process and shuts down the OS but it doesn't start back up, just goes to a blank screen. once i hit the reset button on my case it works fine though. are there any fixes for reboot issues?
