dosmond
I've had plenty of weird issues installing 10.52 from ps2 keyboards not working at the registration step (fix was use a usb keyboard). To the os not wanting to install on a specific hard drive (worked on another, but I had no issues installing windows 7 on the same "possibly" bad drive) to finally getting it to run, though possibly not the best way by using this command at the boot prompt > Boot: -v -y cpus=1 regardless the thing I'd like to get fixed is streaming video aka youtube works fine, with sound and video, but I cannot playback any movies, I get a blank picture with the audio working, I tried quicktime, and even downloaded vlc for mac, neither can playback any video files "movies" mkv, or avi, or xvid. So why does streaming video work? Beerkex'd
Youtube is Flash based, that's why it works. Your media players require hardware acceleration. You need to get Core Image and Quartz Extreme enabled (check graphics/displays in System Profiler). A Hackintosh is no fun without it. Go to the ProjectOSX forums and download NVEnabler. Make sure your monitor is plugged in to the output closest to the motherboard.
