wabbit
Hi guys and experts of this forum. I would gladly appreciate some help here as I have exhausted all means of installing 10.4.6 Jas DVD install. I am running a toshiba notebook tecra 9100. Specs: sse2 Pentium M 1.6 Ghz - 1 Gig Ram. I managed to successfully install a deadmoo 10.4.1 image onto a second partition via VMware method. afterwhich i cannot update to 10.4.3 successfully. (Can't run keynote) Hence I downloaded a version of Jas DVD install which i cannot get to install properly. I downloaded it "10.4.6.install.dvd" - 4,698,669,056 bytes. burnt onto a dvd-r and loaded it. did the -v -x platform=acpi and platform=pcx86 (did not got a kernel panic) tried VMware - same problem. A error log is here: .... extension "com.apple.driver.appleacpithermal" has no kernel dependency. extension "com.apple.driver.appleac97audiointelICH" has no kernel dependency. extension "com.apple.driver.appleac97audio" has no kernel dependency. I would greatly appreciate if i can get any help on this. Thank you very much in advance. PS: anyone has a link to Jas latest 10.4.6 update? I suspect this could be the problem. BuXb
Are you still in need of these IOACPIFamily.kext and AppleACPIPlatform.kext from 10.4.5 to solve the problem described above? Then drop me a line. Wouldn't it be Ok to upload a little package with these XTs and post a link (if need be even not clickable) in here ?? ------------- I had the same prob on my Toshiba Satellite P-100 102 after updating from 10.4.5 to 10.4.6. The strange thing is the same procedure worked before. The only difference is that I recently installed a BIOS update (BIOS from 1.2 to 1.7) ..
