gohyc Posted May 27, 2006 Share Posted May 27, 2006 I have installed 10.4.6 on my Intel 945PSN board. Everything works fine except the sound. I have looked at some other threads on Singmatel audio but I am still unable to resolve the problem. At first everything seems OK, the chip was detected, AppleHDA.kext was loaded, the volume icon was there. However, there was no sound at all no matter what I did. At last, I plugged the speaker line jack to the line-in port and the sound came out instantly. Why is the line-in port mapped to the line-out? And how do we remap the port?
