Hi, I'm not really sure if I post this in the right place.

I just finished installing Leopard on my PC (iPC 10.5.6) but when I start it normally it gets stuck in a blue screen with a movable mouse and another mouse (!) that is stucked...

I can only boot in safe mode.

What should I do ?

Configuration:

Asus P5Q3 Deluxe (with patched bios)

Ati HD3870

2Gb DDR3 Ram

Sata 2 HD

You have almost certainly installed the incorrect kext for your graphics card.......

I have the same problem as the op. MB is ASUS P5KR and graphics card is ATI HD2600XT PCIE. This is one of the kext choices and yet I still get this same blue screen with the two mouse cursors, one moves one is fixed.

If it is a wrong video driver problem then the list must be in error.

If you believe you have the correct driver installed, try swapping the monitor cable to the other port on your graphics card........

Yup, done that too. Card has a DVI, VGA and HDMI connector. Normally use the DVI connector to an ASUS VW222 monitor that has a VGA port as well. Cabled up both and switched between them. DVI port has the blue screen with mouse pointer. VGA port has nothing. Er, I think, just trying it again to be sure. Standby for more.

Just tried to install again this time without a video driver from the list. On the DVI port I get alternating blocks in a sort of diagonal pattern and on the VGA port I get a mixture of vertical lines. I have a suspicion that different SMBIOS patches might be affecting things. Might need to try a few more installs.
