EFI Boot Issues - UD3P

Hi there,

 

I have recently bought some new parts for a new Hackintosh, upon researching I opted for the Gigabyte GA-EP45-UD3P Board, as I have heard it is extremely compatible with 10.5.6.

I was recommended a couple of guides by a user in another post.

I have been following this one as it seemed fairly simple and informative.

The install was a breeze by booting from Grub DFE. I was able to boot into Leopard the first time of install.

The guide then said:

 

1. Run Chameleon_DFE_for_Hard_Disk.dmg (located in the UD3P-package) (Note: I don’t think this step is completely necessary since we install PC_EFI v9 later, but it definitely doesn’t hurt to do it anyway).
   1. 
      
   2. Drag all the files in the “Kexts for Chameleon” folder into the “Extra Contents” shortcut in Chameleon’s .dmg.
      
   3. Run Chameleon_DFE_for_Hard_Disk.pkg to install the bootloader.
      
   4. Reboot with the boot CD. Use -x to boot into safe mode

• Install PC_EFI v9 Chameleon
  

Which is what I did, I then rebooted the machine took out the Grub DFE Disk and I couldn't boot without the CD in the drive. It thinks its Hard Drive 1 when it isn't, I try to boot it with -v, then it says you need to restart your computer.

I have tried several different installs and here is what hasn't worked:

 

1: Mentoined Above, Installed Chameleon DFE for Hard Disk reebooted then PCEFI v9

2: Installed Chameleon 2 rc2

 

 

 

Any help would be greatley apprictaed, I want to try weaksauces12 guide but I cant get onto it because it says I need to log in:

So I have everything working now

 

I just installed PC_EFI v9.

 

I was just wondering why chameleon wasn't working before...

 

Do you need to install PCEFI before you can install chameleon?
