I've seen tutorials stating how, if you have an existing mac osx install, one can boot a leopard install dvd from a partition by restoring the .dmg to the partition. I don't have an existing mac osx install, or a (working) DVD drive, or the possibility to boot from USB. Booting from a partition seems the best solution, but I don't have access to Disk Utility for the lack of an existing mac install or DVD drive. I'm experimenting with DD to write the contents of the .dmg to a partition, but no luck so far, the partition is corrupted. I'm guessing the problem is with partition tables or something, I was just wondering if you guys had any ideas.

Thanks
