Arnaldo Ortega
Hello! After some failed attempts - hadn't set the type to 0xaf so the partition was not recognized - the Mac OS X86 installed without problems in my HP Pavilion dv5178us. This laptop is a: - Centrino Core Duo (Yonah); - 1GB RAM - 100 GB HD - nVidia Go 7400 - 1280 x 800 15.4" LCD; - wireless, network, bluetooh, etc. But... it freezes during startup. It passes the white screen with Apple logo but freezes in the next screen, the blue one, with a progress bar. The mouse don't freeze, I can move the pointer but the progress bar stops forever in the very beginning. And there is no disk activity. I used the Myzar 10.4.5 Universal DVD to install. Any clues? Thanks in advance! Arnaldo Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/18218-freezing-after-boot/ Share on other sites

Arnaldo Ortega
Every boot, I could not get the system working so far. I'm using Acronis Boot Manager to handle boot, will try Windows XP tonight and also try to boot with -v to check for error messages. But I'm not sure -v will help since it can pass the white screen, the freezing is after that, in the screen that preceeds the logon.
